According to Google, there is supposed to be a place called Explore English School, but the sole information given about it is a partial address of Mak Khaeng, Mueang Udon Thani. Coincidentally enough, that is also where they place Language Wittaya School. This latter has a website: pwtranslations.com (‘PW’ for Prachoom Wittaya Language School); and is evidently “Offering courses and services in English, Mandarin, Japanese, and German.” It seems to have withstood the time test, for it has been around quite awhile — I gathered these photos. Notice that the third photo is time-stamped with the month and year of January 1972:
Please understand that I am not recommending the school — I know absolutely nothing about it except what I located today for this post. As I mentioned, though, it has been around for quite a few years, so it may well have merit.

UdonMap has a sponsor called Let’s Talk International Language Institute. Another — for kids — is Pattana Panya School Udon Thani.
I have often mulled over one day attending AUA (American University Alumni Language Center) on a Study Visa in order to be able to have an extended stay in Thailand — but of course, I would be there to try and learn some Thai. To be honest, I don’t know if it teaches English to Thai students. Logic suggests to me that it should.
Another school is Ratchada International School Of Languages: At RISOL Udonthani, we offer instructions in many languages including English, Dutch, German, Japanese, French and Chinese.
A well-known school for kids is Don Bosco School. I understand that it is expensive, and rather exclusive. A girls’ school is St. Mary’s. I have read of an Udon Christian School, but I am unsure if this is its correct name — I have also read of Udon Christian Academy, and Udon Christian Suksa School. Are these all variations on the same school? And yet another kids’ school is Udonthani Education Center (UTEC), which may be behind Pattana Panya School. I know there are other schools that teach English for children, but this post is taking longer than I anticipated, and tracking them down is proving to be an elusive undertaking.
Getting back to adults, it seems that NECC Udon Thani apparently teaches some English.
And of course, Udon Thani Rajabhat University teaches English. A prominent former English instructor there is openly unhappy with the University, however — you can read a little about why on his website Steve’s English Zone.
I must stop here. I am afraid that a simple blog post can not possibly do justice to such a broad topic, but I hope I was of some help.

My wife’s daughter, Muai, Thai dance near Prince Prajak Monument, celebrating the 118th anniversary of Udon Thani, Thailand. Muai joined others from the school Udon Phitthaya School. Other schools were represented as well. Prince Prajak was the son of King Rama V, and the first provencial governer of Udon Thani.
