The Rajabhat University (UDRU) Website is here. The following history is from there.
Established on November 1, 1923, the original name “Teacher Training School in Agriculture Udon Thani” offered a two-year certificate program to people in various provinces in the area. In 1930, it was officially changed to “Teacher Training School for Men”and later on for “Women” offering a two-year certificate program in general subjects. In 1958, it was renamed “Udon Thani Teachers’ Training School” and was up-graded to be “Udon Thani Teachers’ College” on February 29, 1960.
Based on the Teachers’ College Act of 1975, Udon Thani Teachers’ College came under the control of the Ministry of Education and was allowed to offer bachelor degree programs in various fields. Because of the diverse programs of study and the prevention of misunderstanding of its roles and functions, His Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej graciously bestowed the new prestigious name “Rajabhat Institute” (Rajabhat = the people of the King) to Teachers’ Colleges nationwide together with his personal royal seal as the university emblem on February 14, 1992. Since then, we, representing Rajabhat Institute Udon Thani, had put in our collective effort to develop the institute in order that it becomes the higher education institution for the true community development offering Associate, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degrees to the general public.
Later on in 2003, a remarkable change occurred when the Rajabhat University Act was passed and officially approved. Therefore, Udon Thani Rajabhat Institute has legally assumed the university status since June 15, 2004 with the new name “Udon Thani Rajabhat University” (UDRU) under Commission on Higher Education.
Anecdotally, the Udon Thani branch of AUA (Amercian University Alumni Language Center) began operating there in 1991. It later relocated to the former U.S. Consulate building in 1997 where it is presently located.

I was not able to figure out how to contact a Webmaster or anyone else at the Office of Graduate Studies Website, so I sent an E-mail at the address indicated for contact at the main UDRU Website. I hope the message finds the right people, if there really is an issue.

Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU) is known as one of the fast growing Thai universities with more than 22,000 students, 478 teaching staff members and 310 supporting staff members. UDRU is a university where international and local knowledge meet to empower the community and the region. From its origin as a teacher education institute, UDRU maintains its specialization in teaching and learning fields as it continues to successfully expand its specialties in fields other than education.
UDRU hosts several cooperation and collaboration projects with the community, both public and private sectors. With international cooperation, there are several programs at the bi-lateral and multi-lateral level on many fields.
UDRU has participated in the Public Sector Management Quality Award (PMQA) since the program was initiated in 2005 and has been ranked among top ten higher education institutes of Thailand for four years: PMQA program 1st placed in 2005, 6th in 2006, 9th in 2007, and 3rd in 2008.
UDRU is located in the heart of the Udon Thani City, only 50 kms from Nong Khai and Laos PDR, and one hour from Bangkok by plane. It is a modern city where most visitors find it is convenient to fit in, but still seasoned by the local charms. Udon Thani offers a unique glimpse of pre-historic civilizations including those of Ban Chiang, and the biological diversity that makes up Udon Thani are within the reach.
A group calling themselves the Rajabhat University Research Team has what appears to me to be a brand new site — not much is there as of this post. It must surely have some relationship to the Rajabhat University Research Udon Thani Sustainable Index blog of James Sears, whom I suspect may be Arthur Eugene Sears?
There is an Udon Thani Rajabhat University Facebook account that must be very new, since practically nothing exists for it yet.
I mentioned AUA earlier — many Expats enrol there to learn some Thai. However, it seems that UDRU offers courses, as well. It offers Thai for beginners; and a more advanced study that would result in an actual diploma.
