Some of the realty sites include a category for rentals — for instance, First & Best In Udon Real Estate (FBI). The category Houses for rent is there in the left column. I just don’t understand why they include properties already rented out — if they are no longer available, why are they listed? I would think that it is just as easy to delete the listing as it is to add the Rented out label to it. Or does it only annoy me?
I have seen the occasional listing in Top Properties, but it’s almost a bewildering process to arrive at Udon Thani when you begin searching for the listings. You first have to go to the collection of categories called Property Rentals, and then click on the link for Thailand Rentals. That should take you to a page indicating Find or list Property for Rent in Thailand, and below that are a number of locations or cities — seek out Udon Thani. Slim pickings, though.
Then there are Thai Visa Classifieds. This is another bit of a walk finding Udon Thani, especially if you do not click the Advanced search link near the top of the page. Clicking it should open up a number of option fields. Go to the catgory field, seek Real estate, and select Houses to rent. Then go to the region field and seek out Udon Thani. You do not need to bother with the other search option fields — there will be very few properties listed.
You might have a look at this page on Charles Law’s site Udon Thani Property & Land.
UdonMap is definitely a place to check out. In the forum, go to the Udon Thani Classifieds, and then select Property for rent. Alternatively, you might consider UdonMap sponsors RuenAnong — I only came across them two days ago for the first time. I just love the sound of their rentals; unfortunately, I have no idea just where they are located.
Another realty site you could check out is isaan-house.com — as you can see in the column at the left, they have the category For Rent under both Houses and Apartments.
There is also the realty site Ud Property — they have a Rentals link in the bar across the top of the page.
My final suggestion today is PropertyMax Thailand. If you just go to the column at the left and look beneath the search option fields, you should see a link for View All Rental Properties. Simply choose that — it will bring up more than just homes, but it’s not going to wade you down.
Most Thai people seeking to let an available home do not advertise. Consequently, it helps if you are in Udon Thani and able to look around — particularly if you know any Thais who could help you out.
