Quite a number of sites offer you the chance to book into one or two of the same three hotels, I have found. Direct Rooms happens to list all three of those hotels, so I’ll only bother to provide its link — you can easily find out more about any or all of the three hotels on your own: the Ban Chiang, the Charoen, and the Centara.
Kayak rather surprised me by listing four hotels, only two of which were amongst the three hotels that so many of the other sites focused upon. The two additions are the Green Gecko, and the Gecko Villa. I don’t know anything about the two places, but their addresses appear to put them reasonably near one another. (Note: although the site mentions the Charoensri Grand Royal Hotel, this is just the old name for what is now the Centara.)
iDO24 profiles the main three plus the Napalai, and may offer special promotions the other sites mighn’t — I’m guessing on that, however.
Passion Asia seems to only feature the Udon Airport Hotel.
Not yet mentioned is the Thomas Resort & Hotel (Udon Thai House), on the outskirts of Udon Thani.
Hotels2Thailand lists the same three main hotels that so many of the other sites flog, but it also adds the Inter Resort Udon Thani. And if you go to the very bottom of their page, you’ll find three links to three more: the Nakhaburi, the Napalai, and the Tanita (Lagoon) Resort.
Another hotel not previously mentioned is the Silver Reef Hotel.
Hotels Combined has compiled a list of nine of hotels, including the not-as-yet-mentioned Udon Star, the Siri Grand, and the Jan Condotel.
And At Siam lists a familiar group of three, plus the N.B Hotel.
As I said at outset, many unmentioned sites advertise any combination of the above main hotels. Who knows? Those sites may or may not offer some kind of exclusive promotion.
Of the main hotels cited, I’ve only stayed at the Napalai and the Siri Grand.
The very first hotel in Udon Thani I was booked into was the Karin Hotel. I quite liked it, though it has no pool if that’s of interest to you.
The Udonmap.com forum has an entire section devoted to Accommodation. Also, due to its popularity, this site also has quite an extensive listing of hotels and other accommodation available in Udon Thani.
