The Charoensri Grand Royal Hotel underwent a name change since I was last in Thailand in 2005 — it is now called the Centara Hotel & Convention Centre.
I have never stayed there, so I cannot speak with any experience about what one could expect in booking accommodation, but the reviews certainly run the gamut. Some tenants have loved it…others are vitriolic.
You will find that bookings can be made through very many Websites, but I shall list two simply because of the depth of information they provide about the hotel.
Sawadee is almost lavish with their presentation in promoting the hotel, so you will find lots of photos, reviews, and other related information. Oddly, I noticed that Sawadee.com also identifies itself as Sawasdee.com, as you can see with the hotel being featured here.
Agoda also does a good job on promoting the hotel. In fact, if you want to take the time, they even host a list of reviews that (as of the time of this post) amounts to an amazing tally of 199…and probably growing!
I would have expected a hotel of this calibre to have its own Website. There is one that is attributed to it, but as of today, there is only what is identified as a “default page for CHAROENSRIGRAND.COM domain” by Green Host Green Web; however, there is the promise that an active site is “C O M I N G S O O N !“
