I-San, the northeastern region of Thailand, is one of the most celebrated and vibrant regions of the country. The people are hospitable and kind-hearted, with a fun-loving outlook on life.
The region is blessed with its own unique customs, colourful festivals, a fiery piquant cuisine, legacies of an ancient Khmer culture, and historical and traditional fascination.
The Isan Boutique Collection is the result of the inspiration of the participating hotel owners who have made an all out effort to preserve and promote the beautiful destination of Isan — a place they call home.
The owners believe that with the recent launch of the new boutique hotel collection, this puts a fresh new face on the hospitality industry’s most inventive and popular genre.
Featuring authentic and unique designs, international standards of service, and a sophisticated sense of place that encourages guests to discover the nuances of the charming Isan destination, the participating resort properties are designed to attract upscale visitors.

Four hotels promote I-san
Hotels join forces to promote their products and the Northeast.
Four high-end hotels in I-san are selling under a single brand – Isan Boutique Collection to build awareness for the region.
Officially introduced at the Thailand Travel Mart 2009 (TTM Plus 2009), the four partners are: Agalin in Loei; Phu Na Come Resort in Loei; Sedhapura by Tosang in Ubon Ratchathani; and Supanniga Home in Khon Kaen.
They promoted their hotels at a booth named Isan Boutique Collection. Part of the joint promotions involves a website www.isanboutiquecollection.com that also has a booking capability for all four hotels.
The four partners have a single common concept focused on boutique concept offering a high-end experience. Rates range from Bt3,500 to Bt20,000 a night.
Sedhapura by Tosang offers four Mekong River view pool villas. Phu Na Come Resort has 21 rooms of mix styles include cottages. Agalin has six individual residences spaced relatively far apart, each with their own garden. Supanniga Home offers four ultra-hip, contemporary-styled cottages.
Togsang Group assistance to general manager, Wongkot Tohsaeng, told TTR Weekly: “By joining forces, we can promote destination I-san and show that the region has up-market products.”
The partners plan to launch a media campaign this August or September.

It looks to be a wonderful venue for families, or maybe newlyweds and anniversary celebrants.
And believe it or not, “Isan Boutique Collection is on Facebook.” You can find a good collection of photo albums related to the concerned hotels.
I came across a brief in the Bangkok Post that stated that, throughout last month, the hotel group had been offering a offering a flat rate of 12,000 baht for two nights (good for two persons) with two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners. This value only applied Sundays through Thursdays at the Sedhapura.
Maybe there will be similar future specials.
