I have often searched the Web since my first visit to Udon Thani in 2003, but finding a good cache of photos was never easy. With time, though, that is changing. TripAdvisor professes to have accumulated 403 in its database (at the date of this writing) from contributions made by various travelers. However, they are all too small for me to ever care to scroll through them. I like photos that do a job of filling my computer screen.
The tiny size is also offsetting with the large album at TravelPod, another traveler-contributed collection. I can see from that first page of photos, however, that some have nothing to do with Udon Thani — the back of a well-shaped woman as she walks towards the ocean, and a Vientiane stupa, for instance.
There are many sites offering small collections of photos — far too many such small sites for me to want to become embroiled in searching out for this post. Too, blogs contain enormous numbers of photos — but not as an album. It would be necessary to work through the various posts to discover the images.
The easiest means of locating large-sized images of Udon Thani is by checking out the online albums of sites like Flickr — just enter ‘Udon Thani’ into the Search field, and you’re set! Another good online collection can be found at Picasa Web Albums. Photobucket is also good.
I expect there are others if these fail to serve, but you should be entertained enough for the time being.
