Udon’s Nong Prajak
Nong Prajak was a stop that was made on my behalf by three of my Thai companions around the sixth day into my first visit to Thailand in January, 2003. I will not get into the details of why, but I needed cheering, and I think this impromptu picnic was designed just for that by the dear ladies who took me there that day. In the first photo below, Tukta is behind me, clowning at my expense for the photograph.

Nong Prajak Park in Udon Thani is a public park with a big lake surrounded by flower gardens and is one of Udon Thani’s major attractions for tourists and Thais.
