Any Muslims living within Udon Thani most likely already know the five-daily “prayer times” to which they are supposed to ahere, but I found it instructional to come across this current-week timetable at IslamicFinder.org. A devotee can even subscribe to receive the prayer times via SMS onto his or her cell phone. And you can even opt to get a full monthly schedule that will be sent to you by E-mail.

But the above are prayer times according to the Muslim World League — it seems that there are other notions of what the prayer times are, for these were the options I was offered when I was getting the embedding codes for those two charts:
And notice that the times on the two charts that I’ve posted above are about three to five minutes earlier than what is shown on this daily chart at Namaz Vakitleri?
A chart you can play around with for about seven different time interpretations is hosted on Salat-Time.com — go to the bottom of the page and select the interpretation you want from the drop-down box headed Method. Just ensure that you have the proper Thailand Time Zone (GMT + 7:00) in the box below that.

I also found it interesting that the very first website in this post has no record of the presence of any Masjids, Islamic Centers and Muslim Owned Businesses being located in Udon Thani:
No Masjids and Islamic Centers found.
Yet in a post on the UdonMap forum back in December 2009, someone stated:
The [Muslim] mosque is located on SRICHUMCHURN RD….
So it would seem that there is at least that much of an official Muslim presence in the City.
Since I have little else to offer concerning Muslims in Udon Thani, as a May 22 (2012) edit to this post, here are some Muslim and/or Udon Thani reports making the news — these are by no means Udon Thani-related, incidentally. In fact, the second item doesn’t even involve Thailand:
