The Teak Door Forum has a map of the Udon Thani City Center that lists the location — according to a legend that goes with the map — of the Udon Thani Law Court. However, that legend is almost useless. Although the place-names in the legend are set into several categories and then individually numbered, each category begins its entries with the same sequence of numbers. As a result, since there are seven categories, there are thus seven ’1′s that are leading off those different categories. And although each ’1′ on the map is indicated with a symbol or icon to distinguish the category from any other ’1′ on the map, the legend does not list any of the map category symbols.
Fortunately, I was able to find a map that did contain the full legend with the identifying symbols.
Where expats are concerned, there are generally two main reasons that the law and lawyers tend to be of interest: a relationship breakdown with a Thai love interest; or real estate and property ownership.
The realty site Udon Thani House has a good page on Thai Property Law. The subject is also looked at by Charles Law’s site Udon Thani Property & Land: Land laws in Thailand. There are other similar helpful sites.
Isaan Law Online appears like it could be very helpful in many areas of Thai law, so give it a look. A site called Isaan Lawyers (or Udon Lawyers) is not accessible as of the date in which I am editing this post (September 8, 2011), but I recall that it has also provided considerable information when I have visited it in the past. Perhaps today’s problem is just a temporary issue, and it will be back on line when you try to access it.

Google mentions a Maneekan Attorney Law Office, but offers nothing more about it except its general location: Ban Lueam, Mueang Udon Thani.
I have never required legal services in Thailand, so I can make no personal recommendations. Nonetheless, I have tried to offer some information about lawyers in previous posts — see the Category People and Places, and look for the sub-Category Lawyers.
