Gases And Welding Web Site Celebrates Milestone

Dewitt, NY – April 12, 2010: In its latest issue, GAWDA Edge is highlighting the one year anniversary of GAWDAwiki, one of the magazines sister sites. The article, entitled simply “Happy Birthday GAWDAwiki,” is a reflection on the first 365 days of the gases and welding Web site’s run.

GAWDAwiki is an interactive, Web-based resource for the gases and welding industry. That includes an encyclopedia of gases and welding industry terms, plus videos, white papers, product specification sheets, news and a directory of companies involved in the manufacturing and distribution of gases and welding equipment and accessories. The article focuses on the site’s accomplishments in its first 365 days of operation.

Its robust library of white papers, videos, spec sheets and product news are proving to be popular sources of information for people at all levels of the industry. The breaking news section has seen nearly 1,000 headlines posted since the launch. It has become the go-to resource for the latest industry information. All told, in just under a year of operation, the site has seen almost one million page views—not a bad rookie year.

Since the launch, GAWDAwiki has continued to expand. Its collection of industry terms has ballooned to an impressive 1,595 entries. Additionally, its first year saw the launch of GAWDAwiki Twitter and Facebook pages.

OTOP Isan & eastern products in Phuket

AndamanNews — March 22, 2009 — This look delicious, I would like you all to come and experience the fun and the tasty food of the Amazing I-San and Colorful East Fair so come! Ill see you there.

As many as 400 booths are selling products from north eastern and eastern regions at the OTOP fair, which goes under the name of Amazing Isan and Colorful East Fair, at Saphan Hin in Phuket town. They are selling varieties of products such as clothes, silk, spa products & herbs, food and beverage. All the products and shops are certified by the Community Development Department aiming to attract tourists and residents in Phuket to find good quality Thai products & aiming to attract more tourists to visit.

Not only products were being displayed for sale, arts and cultural shows representing different regions in Thailand are also being shown at the fair to attract foreign tourists who are interested in Thai culture. The event is hosted by the office of Phuket City and the Tourism Authority of Thailands Phuket office in order to help boost Thai products and Thais intelligent ideas on how to make different varieties of products.

We had a chat with Sompas Panrath, the president of OTOP city group from Nakorn Rachasima about the event.

This OTOP fair is really helping us, especially when we are coping with our economic issues. We are able to sell our handmade stuff here and I would like to ask Phuket residents to stop by at the fair and look at our handmade products from our region.

The OTOP fair not only helps boost more tourism numbers but also the fair itself is dedicated to shops that emphasize using natural raw materials or resources which are easy to find in these localities to produce useful and beautiful OTOP products such as tissue boxes, sand brick statues and Thai musical instruments.

The fair is still running until the Tuesday 24th of March so please spare some free time and go check out all the good products at the OTOP Fair. Products are not expensive and you would get a good deal if you bargain or you can just look and enjoy the beautiful handmade products without hassles. This is Zenniesha, reporting for Andaman News.
