The Thai Visa Forum has a section in the Thailand Local Forums called the Isaan Forum:
Isaan general topics (North East Thailand). If you haven’t been to Isaan, you haven’t been to Thailand they say. Isaan comprises the northeastern provinces of Thailand. Unique Language, exotic food, and a charming people populate this gateway to indochina.
As well, the Isaan.com Forum has a section they call the Isaan / Issan Forums.
If you have any facility with German, there is the Isaan – Forum. Another German forum is Korat-Info, which does have an English section called the Korat and Isaan Forum in English. And a third (very small) German forum that deals with Isaan is thailand-isaan-forum.xphpbb.com. As well, check out the video at the end of this post for one more German candidate.
The site expat-blog.com has a very small Isaan forum.
KoratFart.com calls itself the Nakhon Ratchasima and Isaan Forum for Art, News & Culture.
TeakDoor has its own Isaan section they call North East Thailand, The Isaan Forum.
A site called Safe Travel Forum has a small Isaan Safe Travel Forum section.
The Pattaya-Live! Forum is yet another that contains an Isaan Forum, albeit modest.
There is even something called the Isaan Life Forum that contains just one post from 2008. Talk about small!
The Paknam Web Forums has a large section called Isaan Guidebook: Your online guide to North-Eastern Thailand for both tourists and people who intend to live there.
The coolthaihouse.com forum has an Isaan provinces section. It’s quite modest in size and use.
Another obvious Isaan forum is KoratFarang.com: A free forum for people with an interest or connection to Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) in NorthEastern Thailand.
Finally, Pattaya Forum has a Northeast Thailand section: Information related to the provinces of Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Loei, Maha Sarakham, Mukdahan, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nong Khai, Roi Et, Sakon Nakhon, Sisaket, Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani and Yasothon should be posted in this forum.
I am certain there are others, but this ought to give anyone a good base for information.
