To be honest with you, the title to this post was a term meaningless to me. It certainly was nothing related to the Isaan Region — nor any other region — of Thailand. But research showed that apparently an ISAN DS-305 is a type of “iPod Shuffle Speaker.” I learned that on this Singapore Hardware Zone Forum. If the link still works, you will see that a forum member offered just such an item for sale on November 5, 2008. Then — nearly daily, and sometimes a couple of times a day — he kept bumping up the ad to keep it current, continuing this practice until he was into a four-page thread. A couple people posted to ask for a photo link that actually functioned, but the poster could not seem to be bothered. He just kept bumping up his ad until he must have given up with a final bump on January 27, 2009.
Maybe he should have put some effort into providing that requested photo? I am amused to see that the poster has a lifetime total of 1,304 posts on that forum — I never bothered to count how many he accumulated with his four-page thread of ad bumps!
My hunch is that he misidentified his speaker, and made his error fatal when he would not help his cause by posting an actual photo of the product. Who the Heck is going to buy something they’ve never heard of? At least if they could have seen it, then they might have recognized it for what it was.
