There are no better free maps available — that I know of — than the maps offered at UdonMap. Each of the free magazines contains a glossy City map that would probably be updated whenever necessary — the map in latest magazine editions has been on pages 21, 22, and 23. If you refer to Udon Thani Maps, you will see where you can DOWNLOAD MAP SIDE 1, which is quite a detailed Udon Thani City map; or else you can DOWNLOAD MAP SIDE 2 to find a mare narrowed version of the first map, and which seems to focus in more on the main area of the city and omitting the northern portion. This latter map also includes a map of Udon Thani Province in the lower left, which delineates and identifies the various 20 or so districts (Mueangs or Muangs) of the province.
Besides the maps described above, UdonMap also has an Udon Thani City Accomodation map and an Interative Udon Thani Map. There is even a Mobile Accommodation Map.
A general Province map showing some of neighbouring Isaan is Mappery.com‘s Udon Thani Tourist Map. A bare-bones sketch map of the City is available at http://udon.loxinfo.co.th.
Even more sketchy are the Udon Thani Tourist Map and Udon Thani City Map at MapofThailand.org. Unfortunately, selecting either one to enlarge it only gives you a few seconds to look at the map before it switches over to the other map…and on and on and on. You do not get to view just the one map for as long as you might like. If you want to just see one of the maps without suddenly having the other one thrust upon you, then try selecting here: Udon Thani Tourist Map; Udon Thani City Map.
Another pair of similar maps can be found at Isan.Sawadee.com — and these ones don’t takes turns switching their view, whether you want it done or not.
There are lots of Google and satellite maps — I personally don’t much care for them, so I’m not going to bother with listing any at this time.

Memories of long ago, the 7th Radio Research Field Station or “Ramasun Station” was a few miles south of Udorn, Thailand. These are a few of my pictures from those days in 1969 and 1970, For those who were there with me there may be some memories here.
People have asked me what happened to the people in the video after all of these years. Well, we’ve gotten grey and see life through experienced eyes now. One friend has been a 6th grade teacher in Chicago for years. We are students and jewelers and musicians and artists other things. One thing for sure, this was long ago and far away and this experience was important in all of our lives. I love Thailand and it’s peaceful people to this day. (Yes I know about the unrest there, but I know the people and know the peace in their hearts think of them that way.) Sawadee, Kop.
