Internet services and Web access are becoming basic necessities to many of us. I spend many, many hours at my computer every single day — and have done so for years.
For a visitor to Udon Thani who must access the Internet for whatever reason, there are definitely options. As ExpatForum.com says in its Udon Thani City Guide:
Internet access is readily available from the many Internet centers in the city, and they typically charge a low rate by the hour. T&A Net corner provides high-speed Internet access and an English speaking staff. You can find them on Srisuk road or you can call them at 042-329123.
World66.com mentions a couple other options in its page of Internet Cafes in Udon thani. So does UdonMap‘s Internet Cafe Listings. And of course, if you check UdonMap‘s Listings for accommodation, you will find that many such places offer Internet service to their customers.
Also check the UdonMap forum — for instance, their official February 22, 2009, post Internet access in Udon Thani. Some other related and more current forum member posts originating this year (2011) are TOT and internet, wireless internet, internet connection, and Yahoo Internet Connection — the Internet is a popular topic, obviously.
A search of Google yields some businesses. One is CS-COMPUTER & INTERNET located in Ban Phue district. However, unless the business is new and thus the website is currently also new, what I see of it would NOT make me a customer — the site is pathetic right now. Also sparse is information about Gamenet Cafe — they are doing a terrible disservice to themselves. All I seem to be able to find out is that they may be located in Udon Thani City:

A place called Oui Internet does not even have a website, from what I can tell — just this address:

This is dreadful for any business touting itself as providing Internet service.

A site called Trustive offers a couple of choices for Wifi hotspots in Udonthani. Stickman is also offering suggestions for Udon Thani Free Wireless Internet Wi-fi Hot Spots.
Thai Visa Classifieds currently have a “for sale” ad for a place called Udon Thani Minimarket & Internet Shop — I won’t link to the ad, since the link will not have an enduring lifespan:

A 6 month security deposit is required for the new owner that will also acquire inventory valued at 400,000 baht. Given that, the sale price is just a little more than the cost of the inventory.
