I guess this may seem a deliberate plug, but it’s not — I have never had any experience with the group, nor do I know anyone who has.
However, they do have some useful information on their site, such as this March, 2008, document on Usufruct agreements in Thailand.
I found yet another useful document of theirs referenced on another site (csmngt.com). The page within that site that I was on was headed Thailand Visas come in 4 basic flavors: Tourist, Work, Retiree & Marriage.
Almost midway down the page, there was this red text: November, 2008 : Major change in the Thailand Entry Permit regulations. The changes below do not effect ‘proper visas’ .. only effect entry permit or ‘visa on arrival’.
And then: These November 2008 changes are know as: Order of Royal Thai Police No. 777/2551. A translation in full (non-official) is available from Issan Lawyers.
I noticed that someone identified officially as Isaan Lawyers has a presence on the KoratFarang forum — check out this current thread titled Driving in Thailand? Some sound advice here…..
Isaanlawyers is also a poster on the ThaiVisa forum, as well as on Udonmap.
The site ThaiLawOnline offers a considerable amount of information relating to various areas, “most” of it provided by Isaan Lawyers.
And then there’s the site Korat Lawyers – the bottom of the main page cites: Copyright © 2007-2010. Isaan Lawyers.
I’m just making the point that they have a strong Isaan presence; and from what I can tell, are much recommended.
I’ve noticed that a Bangkok-based law firm called Siam Legal lays claim to having Isaan representation (they are also Bangkok Lawyers, it seems); and Phuket’s Siam Expat Law is behind IsaanLawOnline – Isaan Online Legal service.
