udon thani railway

SiamHotel.net offers a schedule of trains running either from or to Bangkok on this line of the State Railway of Thailand. You can see that the schedule is at variance with this one at Asia-Discovery.com. Both sites also have a few useful or informative links for any would-be train traveler.
A third — and different — schedule is available at CSThailandGuide.com.
Perhaps the UdonMap Udon Thani Train Station page is more reliable? It has a .pdf schedule in English. The English version of the official State Railway of Thailand website also has schedules, including one for the Northeastern Line.
Thailand has some definite railway plans for the future, as this February 23, 2012, Thai media conglomerate MCOT article in Pattaya Mail signifies: Cabinet approves construction of Bangkok-Nong Khai dual track railway. Note that I am editing this post on February 26, 2012, the same day that this other railway article was published in Pattaya Mail: Thailand, China agree joint working committee on high speed rail development.
Some little information about the Udon Thani Train Station is available on ThaiRailways.com; and there is a schedule here. And provided that the links are still valid, you can view three photos from Panoramio here, here, and here.
Here are a selection of other websites speaking of “Udon Thani railway,” albeit some mentions are just peripheral:
