I have watched for the past couple of years as progress has proceeded on an English-Isaan Dictionary by the folks behind The Living Hour (their apparent motto: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever) — a group that I had just assumed were a non-denomination Christian enterprise. I suppose they may be, but note:
LivingHour.org is an independent Thailand-based publisher that believes in the old adage that when you learn a new language, you acquire a new soul. We are dedicated to publishing unique easy Thai & Isaan language books that focus on the colloquial language of Thailand, as well as SBNR books that provide fresh perspectives on the spiritual life, via Progressive Christian, Buddhist, and Taoist traditions.
(SBNR means Spiritual But Not Religious.)
Any Christian-based group that not only goes light on the proselytizing, but actually embraces and promotes the spirituality behind Buddhism and Taoism, is my kind of Christianity! As far as I can tell, they are not on any kind of mission to actively convert Buddhist Thais to Christianity, and I can keenly appreciate that.
Unfortunately, their English-Isaan (Isan) Dictionary is not yet published, but this is currently on their website:

I rather like the sound of The Original Thai-English Language Cognate Dictionary & Learning Tool, as illustrated just above. Maybe I’ll invest in a copy while I await the release of the English-Isaan Dictionary.
